Hear Tales About Owls and Bats During a Campfire Program

From Fairfax County Park Authority:

Owls and bats keep a low profile most of the year. But as Halloween approaches, these nocturnal hunters rise to mythical status as symbols of everything to fear in the night. The Fairfax County Park Authority will entertain and educate families at two campfire programs during the Halloween weekend.

Roast marshmallows and relax during the Folktales Campfire on Saturday, October 30.

Families with children ages four and older can cozy up to the campfire at Hidden Oaks Nature Center from 7 to 8 p.m. to hear folktales of the season. Stories will feature bats, owls and other Halloween creatures. The cost is $5 per person.

Hidden Oaks Nature Center is located at 7701 Royce St. in Annandale. Register online or call 703-222-4664. For more information, call 703-941-1065.
