The City of Manassas Department of Public Works and Utilities is hosting a free, 100-Year Celebration at the Sat., Oct. 12 Public Utility Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Manassas Public Works Building at 8500 Public Works Drive in Manassas, Va., includes free lunch, entertainment, tours and a time capsule burial. Manassas Utilities will also donate $5 for every person that attends the event to the American Cancer Society in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For information, go to www.manassascity.org.
The family-fun event is free and features free lunch by Bad to the Bone, ice cream by Nathans, live music by Shake It Up band, balloon artists, jugglers, cherry picker truck rides, tours, moon bounce, a pumpkin patch, as well as a kiosk depicting Manassas Utilities 100-year history, including a book that chronicles Manassas Utilities 100-year timeline.
