Metropolitan School of the Arts (MSA) is bringing together an all-star instructor ensemble from around the U.S. to provide a Music Theatre Workshop tailored to provide real-world experience by teaching students the integration of drama, voice, movement and choreographed dance from July 13 to July 24 for ages 8 years-old to 18 years-old for $900 and a junior class from July 20 to 24 for ages 6 years to 7 years old for $500. MSA workshop instructors hail from Broadway as well as national dance and ballet companies. JOSE DE LA CUESTA is a NYC-based director/choreographer whose credits include A Chorus Line, Sugar Babies, West Side Story, and 42nd Street, which earned him the prestigious Carbonnell Award for best choreographer;  KEVEN QUILLON has recently appeared on Broadway in A Christmas Story, Annie, Shrek: The Musical, and Grease; THOMAS ORTIZ has danced with the Washington National Opera in Verdi's The Force of Destiny and was a featured dancer in Puccini's La Boheme at the Kennedy Center Opera House. DANYA ARMSTRONG performed in Germany for over three and a half years in mega- musicals such as Mamma Mia and The Buddy Holly Show. ZOEY CRUZ has had the privilege of working and sharing the stage with A-list choreographers including Jesse Lee Santos, Jerry Slaughter and NappyTabs of America’s Best Dance Crew and So You Think You Can Dance. JACKIE DOHERTY began her professional career dancing with The Israel Ballet in Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet and Coppélia. She’s also a certified American ballet theatre instructor; HEATHER GIFFORD spent four years in Las Vegas where she performed as a singer/dancer with several companies and venues, such as Legends in Concert; SARA HART is the MSA artistic director where she has directed and choreographed The Wizard of Oz, Annie, Beauty & the Beast, Grease, Hook, Mirror Mirror and FootlooseKELLI BARCLAY, renowned Broadway dancer and choreographer who has worked on Singin in the Rain, Cabaret, Pal Joey, Girl Crazy, Hello Dolly and Fosse; JAY ARMSTRONG JOHNSON has performed on Broadway in On The Town, Sweeney Todd, The Most Happy Fella, HAIR (original 2009 revival) and in TV: Sex & the City 2, Law & Order: SVUMike Milan is a member of Upright Citizen's Brigade and veteran of Sister Act First National Tour; and MATT NALL is a baritone vocalist in the United States Army Chorus where he’s performed all over the country and for various dignitaries, as well as every living U.S. President.

Lorton, Va.-based, Metropolitan School of the Arts (MSA) is the first Washington, D.C. area, private, secondary performing arts school, founded in 2013 by Melissa Dobbs.
