“This is our fifth year to be a part of the Chocolate’s Lover’s Festival it’s one of our favorite ‘foodie’ events for sure,” said Sabrina Campbell, Occasionally Cake owner. “You can’t go wrong with chocolate it’s always fun to compete, but I particularly love to judge and sample so many of the creative creations,” said Campbell.

The Chocolate Lovers Festival is an annual two-day event held each year in Old Town Fairfax. This is a community favorite and features The Chocolate Challenge, an arts contest featuring breathtaking art made completely of chocolate. The festival showcases chocolate vendors offering samples and selling their products at the Taste of Chocolate. Other activities include the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, featuring chocolate chip pancakes, historic re-enactments, children's activities, a craft show and more. For more information, go to www.chocolatefestival.net

Both Alexandria cake boutiques offer more than 100 cake and gourmet cupcake flavors. Occasionally Cake is also renowned for their cake truffles. Instead of discarding leftover cake, it became the centerpiece of their cake truffles, and then dipped in Belgian chocolate.
